Its not that simple, Bikeradar is way behind the time when it comes to photos as you have to do it as a link to the web rather than simply uploading a photo like you can do on most forums. Anyway here's howto do it.

    1) Post your picture on a website anything will do. pbase, flickr etc
    2) in your forum posting put the link between the img html tag so you have

    picture.jpg

http://picture.jpg is the location of your picture.

his lady did LEJOG, wild camping, on this BoB hauling full suss. (The BoB was much fuller) Oh her thyroid's packed up and she is ceoliac so she carried 80% of her food. She finished her first iron man the following autumn. RESPECT http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=8 ... =570345180 Hmm forgot the login guff! Back to Luddite skool!

Old frame - scrounged parts - white hammerite radiator paint - letraset - varnish.

At least the bike knew where it was supposed to be going!

    And it got there!

  • It looks like you've picked up some bargains - can't imagine US thrift stores having those panniers, though. I just hope both bikes have strong rear wheels.

The wheels held up for a year and a half of touring with no problems whatsoever.... but the braze-on holding my rear rack broke a few times....

  • Hey CPTH,
Sorry to hear about the spill,

I see you have a T2000! What do you think about it? (see page 1 T2000 in Perth WA). I have owned one for a coupla years now. I get some stick (disparaging comments) about my seat angle, it is as negative as yours appears positive! I am going to France in June & was thinking about buying a Paul Hewitt Cheviot in UK b4 I go. Waddya think, is it worth buying a new bike or put up with the hassle of taking the T2000 on an intnl flight?

Hey, that's wierd, I've just looked back at your post, that's my bike with someone else's panniers on it! What do you think about the Hindu graphics on the tubes, that very nearly put me off buying! Glad I did buy though.

BTW your enquiry about road kill on the nullabor, there is a lot of it, there is a lot everywhere in Aus, but I would imagine it wouldn't be cleared as much, the more remote you get. I can relate to your feelings about dead animals, not nice.

  • hey wallabyhunter,

to be fair to the bike, it's given me no hassles and been extremely dependable. I have found that the alu frame has dented slightly in two situations that I don't a steel one would have. Only problem I had was with the overrated blackburn front racks I bought and the shop's poor mounting of them.

Personally, I would take it to France. I have been all over France on mine - I've ridden just about every great ride there is there and like I said, not one problem from her.
When/if I do my trip to OZ I would defo take this one.

It's not an absolute hardcore tourer (I guess) but I really can't complain about it - although the next time I'd probably get a tourer built to order as I was kinda stuck between two frames and opted for the smaller .. I quite like the look of it btw. I was into the whole green thing and rather fond of the graphics.

Yea, everyone hates the angle of my seat...everyone. However, it's the only way I find that I don't crush my junk... it works for me and I can even get a hard on in the evening :D

How do you find the Carry Freedom when touring? We also have a large Y frame, which we use for shopping, trips to the recycling centre etc, but we are wondering if it will be as good over longer distances. Also considering wheel trailer for the holiday season.
