If you were getting a new bike would you choose Campagnolo or Shimano?

Does this debate boil down to what levers you prefer or the whole groupset?

I prefer Campag Ergo levers but am not fussed with the remainder of a
    bike's components.

I was having this discussion with a few mates the other day - noticed we all used ********** and got talking about it as we rode along. We all reckoned that it was generally less aggro, stayed set up better, lasted longer, shifted more reliably etc etc than the alternative make - so no I don't think it necessarily is just about a preference for ergos or stis.

it's a hard life if you don't weaken.
  • no Sram then?
  • SRAM on MTB, Shimano on road bike. If I ever had enought cash to buy Italian it would have to be campy.
