Dry weather riding

To almost gurarentee a ride in the dry you could have a look at the radar pictures at www.metoffice.gov.uk or www.meteox.com
These weather pages show the last 6 hours or so in a cartoon format so you can predict whether it is better to go out later in the day or not. On the Meteox site you will need to move the cursor over the middle of the UK and click to enlarge the UK image. With Google Earth you can get a real local idea on what the weather is up to. It's not 100% but it's hugely better than pot luck.
