Training camp not too expensive?

I am keen to get to a training camp in 2008. Anyone know a place not charging over the odds? My ave speed would be around 14-16mph for a 4 hour run.

Hello Rob - Do you have to go on an organised camp? What do you want from the camp? Save cash & do your own. Go to the sun with a few mates & save a fortune... I am off to Cyprus in late Jan for 10 days. I just want endurance from my training at that time of year. Luckily I have family there, but even so accom. is cheap then. I'm looking for between 45-85 miles per ride, which will be in the 70%MHR area. I may have 1 or 2 rides at 75-80%MHR if all goes well, but at present endurance is the key. By the time the weather gets better here I can then start some intervals etc. Enjoy....0

Rob, I'm slightly faster than you (on a good day) but I'd be happy to keep you company on a week away0

My tip would be fly, map in hand, to sunny spanish resort out of season. Find a hostal/pensione a bit inland (eg we went to Alora, NW from MAlaga on the train). Cycle lots! You decide the costs & routes. Come home well pleased, dying to go again.0

I'm off to lanzarote in feb. Hiring a trek 5000 for 4 days, going out cycling on my own cos not done too much over winter and need to build up my endurance. No doubt I will get lost and/or overtaken by many a fellow cyclist whilst out there. Price isnt too bad £300 for week 60euros bike hire. cheaper than a organised training camp???Don\'t wait for your ship to come in... Swim out to it.0
