Bern / Condor,
I've just got my Diamante (the one that had the purple seat clamp) with Dura-Ace 08 components.. and its fab just like all the others i've had, road, track and even an ATB.
I must say this has been an intresting thread.. and ultimately i think from whats been written i've made the best choice of frame.

Hi 4candles, I havn't checked the forums for a while, but see you just posted this morning. Glad to hear you are enjoying your latest bike. I had the chance to ride one a while ago and I think it was a good choice for a trackie like you.BERNIN RUBBER0

Hi Bern,
I have returned to cycling after a 20 year break, I used to have two Condor Italia when I was racing, both supplied by Monty himself, a white road bike and a black track bike, wish I still had them!
Anyway I am planning a winter bike already, I wonderd if you you could answere a couple of questions, which frame would you suggest for a lively but comfortable feel for a winter bike my average rides are 50-60 mile fast club runs either a Agio or Fratello?
And secondly could it be orderd in the team Condor Rapha colour scheme and if so at what cost?0 -
Hi Barney 2,
Welcome back. We all look back on bikes we used to own with fondness.
Both would suit your purpose, but I would say that the Fratello would have the edge with comfort. It is only fractionaly heavier than the Agio. I had no problem keeping up with my friends on their colnagos and Cervelos on our weekend rides on one.
I try to keep away from the sales pitch on forums, but I am sure the team colours could be done on either model. The Fratello would be quicker as we have some unpainted stock currently at our painting facility in Italy. There is normally an upcharge for this. The best thing to do would be to call the shop and arrange to speak to one of our experts. I would recommend Peter, he is extremely knowlegeable on the range.BERNIN RUBBER0 -

Hi Bern,
Do you think a Pista frame could cope with carrying a rack for 4 or 5 days of light touring (i.e. a couple of minimally packed panniers)?
If you think it would be ok is there a particular make of pannier rack that you would recommend and how would I fix it to the bike (given it doesn't have braze-ones)?
I imagine the answer will be that it's not going to work so I may need to see if I can borrow a bike!

Hi Ramekin,
Generally it is not a great idea to fit a rack unless the frame has the necessary braze ons to accept one. You can use p-clips, but there is a chance they will move and possibly damage the frame or paintwork.
We do have another model that is very similar called Tempo. It is built with clearance for up to 28mm tyres with guard and rack fittings. Geometry is similar with the headtube being just 1cm longer.
