Richmond Park Deer Cull

Does anyone know what time RP closes in the evening now that the deer cull is on? I want to do a couple of laps after work and wonder if it is possible to ride round before 8pm - or is there a danger of being shot!?

    The park closes at 4pm until at least the end of the year.

    It closes at dark and the pedestrian gates are locked until about 7am when it gets light again. The annual christmas venison harvest is buggering up my training too :)

    Why they don't use it as a revenue generating scheme I don't know. I'd pay good money to be able to ride around RP at night with my Dinotte front light and a hunting rifle seeing which deer fancied their chances.

    Hmmmm I'm pretty sure last time I was there that the sign said that they don't lock the pedestrian gates till 8.00. I can't get out tonight but might do a recce tomorrow evening and report back. It might be a good training aid setting off for a lap at 7.40 - a real incentive to get round in time
