This is an outrage !!! I bet you know nothing of the crunch.

    Erm, nope? What's the crunch?

You haven't even been to the Crunch?

I'm thinking it must be some kind of breakfast cereal?

Saboo: You know nothing of the Crunch! You haven't even been to the Crunch.
    Naboo: I went there once.
Saboo: Oh, a little day trip around the Crunch, we can all be tourists.
  • It is on tonight.

I haven't been so excited by a TV show since Alan Partridge.

In the latest episode we are introduced to Howard Moon's Stationery Village (sellotape tree, Paperclip Castle, Blutack garden, Safety Pin Cottage). Stuff of genius.

Oh, and Vince is nearly killed by Jazz.

Mighty Boosh is the best thing on telly at the moment.

  • My wife and her friend watched it with me last night! Both went to bed after about 10 minutes.

I however can't help being seduced by the charm of it.

Excellent. My wife hates it so I don't normally get to see it - but she's in Poland at the moment.

It parodied one of my favourite films - and I'm sure there was a Family Guy episode recently that did the same thing with a miniaturised submarine.

I watched a full episode for the first time last night and nearly p!ssed myself with laughter!!

I'm ashamed at how I managed to let it slip through the net until now.

Stationery Village was fantastic! Rings a bell with any office-worker who's ever panicked when they realise their Sellotape isn't where it should be...

I work for a huge blue chip company and we once had to line our draws with foam, lay our stationary items on the foam, draw round them and cut them out and keep said stationary items in the cut out holes forever more. We got our cupboards checked to make sure that we had done it and that we were maintaining the standard.
I've never heard of such a big load of bollox in my whole life. :x

Popette, that's like school! Anyone ever get caught with 'dodgy items'? And what was the punishment for 'not keeping your drawers in order?'

a lot of working there is like school - role plays!!!! :x I hate role playing. Dodgy items would have been fine as long as they were sat in their correct place on the foam (my boss was embarrassed to see tampax in my drawer when he was inspecting - I missed an opportunity there I think, I should have filled it with other lady items!)
Punishment was probably a sad red face next to my name on some enormous pointless list.

Imagine shapes of certain 'lady items' cut out of the foam but not actually there. Then the boss has to guess what those 'lady items' area. That's funny.

Wow, you have a very progressive relationship. Your wife goes to bed with her friend and you stay up watching telly? Yes, the Mighty Boosh is that good.

On the advice of Cake Stop, I sat down to watch last night. Half way through, Mrs Pneumatic phoned up looking for a lift back from the pub in the next town. So entranced was I by the Boosh that my "I'm on my way, dear!" proved to be an utter lie. I stayed where I was for 20 minutes until the glorious spectacle was over and then went looking for the shivering spouse.

I remember that movie with the mini submarine; I saw it about 35 years ago at a school film show. What was it called? It's a must for nostalgic DVD rental.
