I found the Mighty Boosh hilarious last night, but what bothers me is, I have no idea why. I'm still not sure whether it is the work of genius or sh1t. Can someone enlighten me.

    Hi
    I watched it too.
I thought that evil guy with the green face and polo mint eye was superb. He was pure evil.
I did fall asleep toward the end.
I remember watching bits of series one, and it seemed to allways be set in a zoo.
Then series too went completely off the wall.
Looks like this one is following in that vein.
The A6 Hazel Grove - "Always the worst part of any ride".

...anyone remember Spike Milligan? He was much more off the wall than The Mighty Boosh
...all the way...'til the wheels fall off and burn...
  • Mighty Boosh is pure genius. It's a serious "WTF" program.

yeh, I liked it too but not sure why. I think the 70s looking guy is weirdly alluring!

Don't analyse it too much! If it makes you laugh it can't be all bad! Was good to see The Moon is still making appearances as well as Tony 'Cleft' Harrison.

I love The Boosh I do...

I think it says something that the meatheaded Chris Moyles doesn't get it at all and has grumbled everytime the adverts for the new series are played on his show.

Alas, I don't have BBC3 so I'll be waiting for it to get showed on BBC2 sometime.
  • That's Chris Moyles for you. The guy doesn't know something good if it hit him in the face.

That's why music in this country has turned to shit in the last 5 years.

Chris Moyles doesn't like it. They should use this to promote the show...

What do the rest of his cretinous 'posse' think of it? Have any of then stood up and said "You, Sir are talking sh*te and are a kn*b-polisher of the highest order"?

its excellent, ive got the first two series on dvd and ive already watched yesterdays episode twice. Once on the net last week and then on BBC3 last night. Its one of my favourite tv shows.

The second episode is available online at their website.

The Hitcher (The green cockney) is one of the greatest characters they've made along with Milky Joe, and Old Gregg.

Same here - I watched it in the morning then again last night. Loved it. Especially the Hitcher.

 well, I can't help thinking your being oversensitive. Are they mentally ill? Nah...just supposed to be a bit witless aren't they? Nothing wrong with poking fun at the stupid.

  • I think I must be in the minority. I can't stand the mighty boosh. Theres huge moments of crap dialougue, and then they have to do those awful songs. Plus every student in the world seems to like it and quote it incestently.

A poor mans League of Gentlemen if you ask me.

You are indeed in a minority.

And I'm not even a student.

Actually its not so much like League of Gentlemen as like some of the weider bits of Reeves And Mortimer - IMHO

its nothing like the league of gentlemen, the LOG is genius in the black comedy way whereas boosh is genius in alot of ways.

I like both of them alot but boosh seems to be easier to just sit down and watch. Plus i dont get scared in the Boosh like i do when watching the xmas special of LOG

Exactly. Despite knowing all that, I'm still laughing!

I don't know why the dialogue is funny? May be because it is a head\octopus saying it?
I didn't get the eel song at first and then I found myself tickled by it.
I have never seen eye to eye with student, even when I was one, especially not anything cultural.

If doesn't make sense. I can't wait for the next episode.

Love the MB. You never know what's coming next and not many other shows can offer that.

Heavy - I feel that it's time for me to offer you some advice again son. Taking the piss out of mentally ill people is a very bad habit to get into. I don't really care much about their feelings but they do seem to account for a fair few murders.....be careful!
