Been going over there for the last few months as I live quite close. To be honest I'm not sure what wood I'm in as you seem to nip from one to another. Got verbal from a horse rider the other day. I stopped well ahead of her, moved to the side and let her by but then got a load of verbal with a bit of F word in there. I never responded (proud of myself). Never had a problem with horse riders but this one was a bit old and tubby so I think the horse was struggling. As I came out there were about 15-20 bikes going in so I see how walkers /horse riders get the hump with that many bikes together.
If anyone has any routes let me know, as I just seem go around and follow any path, then fall off all of which I probably not allowed on. To wet in the winter over here though.

Does anyone ride the hillyfields (Enfield) northshore/boardwalk thing?

I stumbled across it once when it was empty. Wouldn't go on it myself but would like to see it in action, it's so professional looking I'm not sure why I can't find any references to it on the net?

Hi whereabouts is this? I'd love to know so I can find somewhere a bit nearer than Chicksands!

Somewhere around Hillyfields park - well hidden though, I remember I couldn't find a way out of it!

I'd cycled round there quite a bit before and never seen anyone else on a bike, took a random left into the woods and found it - was quite shocked as I wasn't aware any sort of mtb'ing happened around here. Whilst I've never seen anything to compare it to it looked very impressive.

It was a while ago (not been into biking for ages till recently) so I'm a little sketchy on exactly where it as it's in the middle of a wooded area. I'm going running tomorrow so I plan to find it, fingers crossed.

I will let you know where it is when I've found it, once I get my mtb running again I could probably pop over there and get a few pics too. I would offer to meet you and show you where it is but your username worries me :?

Found the place this morning (just me and lots of rabbits there at 7am though) and even better I found this:

    http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea ... D=38497639

That only shows a small amount of the nortshore - there's a quite a bit of it in a seperate area to the jumps.

I can show you where it is on a map and give directions but I wouldn't rate your chances of finding it to be honest. It's pretty well hidden and you have to enter in a specific small clearing.

Pastryboy that place looks awesome, no need to worry about my username, it's a reference to my current steed!

if you could find a map and post the rough area I could spend a bit of time looking for it, be an excuse to ride somewhere different.

    Cheers

Get to the marker (zoom right in - it's on a bridge over a stream)

    http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.6701 ... _w&split=0

Just to the side of the bridge is a small clearing - go into that, over a small wire fence, under the viaduct and it's straight ahead. It's left and down a bit from the marker but basically get under the viaduct and you'll find it sooner or later.

Your best bet is to get into strayfield road cemetery at the entrance then go to the far left and head upwards looking for the bridge.

Hopefully I won't be assasinated for revealing something that's meant to be a secret...

Good job, I reckon i can find it from those directions and the map. Thanks a lot, i may try and head over there tomorrow during the day, although it'll probably be filled with kids doing crazy stuff as it's the holidays!

I'll let you know how I get on.
