Beware unlocking an IPhone - see here:
http://blogs.zdnet.com/BTL/?p=6371&tag=nl.e539Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom0 -
Given how few people patch their computers, that should be no problem to anyone, really.
And that'll only have any effect until someone gets round whatever it is in the next update that nukes the phone.0 -
The £35 contract has hidden costs, and is I ssupect an underestimate.
I looked at replacing my PDA with an 02 XDA to save carrying PDA and Phone.
"Data" transfer on O2 does not come within the 200 minutes and requires a "Bolt-on" or further charges.
In my case for the XDA I was asked for a further £30 per month. So if you intend to download away from WiFi hot spots - beware the true figures are staggering (£1170 for an eighteen month contract) , if the girl quoted me correctly; He that buys land buys many stones.
He that buys flesh buys many bones.
He that buys eggs buys many shells,
But he that buys good beer buys nothing else.

So why can't they do that with the XDA?He that buys land buys many stones.

Because it's their own phone and they don't have Apple forcing them to give unlimited data.
I love my XDA Orbit but I can see me changing to an iPhone (if I'm suitably impressed after I have a good play with it) when my contract expires in Jan.
