Are road bars measured edge to edge or centre to centre?

Cheers.

I believe it is normally centre to centre.

Normally c-to-c, but Deda for some reason measure from outside edge to outside edge. It's worth clarifying before purchasing (in any case).

  • In my experience it varies between manufacturers and you should always ask before buying. Deda aren't the only ones confusing things with edge-to-edge measurement.

  • Thanks all. I have some Deda's and c-c they are 42 and e-e they are 44. They don't have anyway on them what size they are so it could have been either. Glad I know now before I went out and bought a new pair of 44's - thinking I had 42's.
