Are road bars measured edge to edge or centre to centre?

    I believe it is normally centre to centre.

    Normally c-to-c, but Deda for some reason measure from outside edge to outside edge. It's worth clarifying before purchasing (in any case).

    In my experience it varies between manufacturers and you should always ask before buying. Deda aren't the only ones confusing things with edge-to-edge measurement.

    Thanks all. I have some Deda's and c-c they are 42 and e-e they are 44. They don't have anyway on them what size they are so it could have been either. Glad I know now before I went out and bought a new pair of 44's - thinking I had 42's.
