Looks like Millar's taking it easy on this one - @ 1.38 through first check.

His wheel went to pieces right at the beginning, so it's probably screwed his plans.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

According to cyclingnews, he looks good and fast. But 1:38 is a massive amount to recover.

    Tailwind today as well.

If you didn't see it, the rim completely separated from the carbon disk part of the wheel

I'd imagine Mavic disc wheel sales will be down today

Didn't he use a Mavic track wheel in London? I seem to remember reading that.

He definatley used the track wheel in the Prologue. I wouldn't like to be the Mavic guy who looks after Saunier Duval today.. I think Millar might just 'nut him..

It happened again on his second bike too....

Dodgy batch or is his mechanic going to get the boot ?

Geraint Thomas: "We all know Soler is clean, he didn't even get tested that day." Up until that point the Eurosport bods had been very careful about not naming Soler.
  • I might be putting my neck on the block but I don't believe that Soler is dodgy for one minute. If it turns out I'm wrong this would be far more depressing than the likes of old hands as Vino and Ras breaking the rules.

    Go GeorgeGo!

Okay, I know he's only putting down the markers from Levi and Bertie, but still.

He used a Mavic Io front track wheel - the rear wheel would be a standard rear disc to take a cassette.............unless he was riding a fixie

He would win if he keeps it up, depending on Bertie's time.

Go on you bald headed freek!

Harmon is not grasping that Levi could take the yellow if it carries on like this.

Good god. He might actually do it!

Will Disco tell Bertie to ease off if it looks certain? American winner = greater value?

Would there be snide comments if Evans had won it?

So the final (?) GC now reads:
    1. Bertie
    2. Cadel @ 23 secs
    3. Levi @ 31 secs

................and there are 32 seconds available as bonuses tomorrow...............can Cadel sprint?

    It would be extremly unusual.

But he doesn't stand a snowballs chance.
