    I like it here

Makes a change to see some new faces

I think it's good to make a new start on these forums every year or so
Otherwise they get repetitive - same old people saying the same old things after a while

They're still around on acf and cyclechat if you fancy a blast from the past but why not move on

The Race section still has the PTP of course as well which should keep the regulars here

    In principle I wholeheartedly agree.

Looking round some of the fora here though... I can't help but thinking that for some reason this new site brings out the 'moron' in people. Many of the posts are just pointlessly nasty, it isn't a friendly place to be in any way.

Bringing the fora together should have been an excellent idea. The implementation of that idea leaves a lot to be desired.

One of the things we're working on is exactly that - setting up the forums so people only see the specialist areas they want to see.

And you're going to say that it should have been like that in the first place, and I'm not going to argue with you. It wasn't, but it will be.

Hello John, sorry to see you're having a difficult time ~ not that you know me from Adam.

Just sat down for a bite of lunch and a browse around C+ so I'm a bit stunned at present. I haven't had any e-mail ~ well if I did it will have been binned as C+ marketing stuff. This is the old C+ forum merged with BikeRadar?

I'll hang around for a while. If it's any help what I would like to see is quick, simple access to the old C+ forums - especially Beginners, Know How, Touring. I've had a quick scout round but can't find these or they have been renamed etc to making them difficult to find.

They're all still there, under 'Road':

You better get one going quick as there is already a lively RLJ thread on Cycle Chat http://www.cyclechat.co.uk/viewtopic.ph ... sc&start=0

when the trolls stop we can move on

Strange how they all complained about Safespeed trolls but they do the same to this forum

Beggars belief, given there are so many PHDs there

It is hardly a relevant comparison, since C+ didn't have archiving.

    * post made meaningless by an edit made to post above.
