Hi,

This is my first time on this side so HI ! :D

My wife has just brought home a10 week old female tabby kitten!

It was that or she wanted another baby and as we already have 3 kids a cat seemed an easier option!

Anyway we cant decide on a name any ideas?

Cheers

Pete

Jenny. I always wanted a little girl cat called Jenny but all I got were 2 boys.

A mate of mine had a kitten called Velcro because when he threw it at the curtains it stuck to them. Toast is a good name for tabbies because they look like a piece of well done toast.
Failing that, call it, er, Martin.

If it's any help these are cat names we've used (almost in chronological order):-

Midge,Tiggy, Bumper, Polo, Bisto, Batman, Jason, Bumble, Bacardi, Chippy, Theo, Jammy, Moysie, Rosie, Ronnie, Reggie, Monkey, Billy, Eddy and Sharon. Apologies to those I forgot.

Bisto was my favourite name (tabby too) - the poor cat lasted only a couple of months before eating someones slug pellets - awful.

Good cat toys? Anything that isn't bought, cats are like that. Rolled up tinfoil is good - Moysie used to fetch it like a dog would.

We had a sort of `family cat`, didn`t `belong` to anyone in particular and came and went as it pleased. I seem to remember my dad mostly called it Cooking Fat ... (I think that`s what it was  )
    Colin N.

  • My wife wanted a "sweet" name....so I said the first thing that came into my head:

Marzipan (seems to suit her too)

I know a bloke who called his cat 'Sechuan' - I nearly burst a gut when I heard that.

I have a cat called Dave. And another called Simon. The last female cat we 'owned' was called Keith. Of course, we thought we'd adopted a stray but it was just a greedy local without a collar.. and fluffy, so we never could work out if she was male or female, so 'Keith' it was.

My last 2 cats were called Hari and Krishna. I enjoyed calling them in at night.

The cat I had before those two I just called OC (our cat)!!

My last cat was called Talisker.

I've always fancied getting a couple and calling them Phobos and Deimos, ie Fear and Terror (also the name of the two moons of Mars).

I knew someone who had a couple of cats called Tuvok and Socket. They were initially called TV and Socket, since they were born in a box the TV had been delivered in!

When I was at uni I had a cat called Brian

Next one, family cat was called Cat

We have two now, Ruby and Joey.

I still think Brian is a great name for a cat.
