    Extra weight I reckon only makes much a of a difference on 3 hour plus rides, but maybe that's cos I'm a silverback gorilla.

    At the end of the day I got a GT over the hardrock because it's better specced, cheaper, and the LBSs near me that sell the hardrock are crap.

    Too rite, although the standard forks leave a little to be desired after a while - the rocky desents can be a bugger on your little fingers...
