might be a silly question...

with rollers i presume your milometer works because the front wheel is moving.

with a cheap turbo is this not the case?

does anyone use rollers anymore?

yup, both front and back wheel move on roller....

I prefer rollers - maintains balance and is more of a "challenge".

You are correct, the moving front wheel is what lets you balance on rollers. I like my rollers, not as noisy as a turbo so I can use them without annoying the neighbours downstairs too much, and the ever present risk of falling off keeps you on your toes! You can probably do more varied workouts on a turbo though. I'm not good enough to get out of the saddle on my rollers, yet...
