My first 25m TT

Just back from my first attempt at a 25 and can report it was a very enjoyable experience (which will immediately get posts stating I wasn't trying hard enough which is probably fair!!) [:D]

I had no idea how to pace it but made sure I didn't go off too fast and I ended up in quite a steady rhythm riding very much to a certain HR which by the end was 157 (quite a bit down on my couple of 10mTT attempts where my HR was 173). The only time I was left thinking 'why am I doing this?' was during a rather violent hailstorm but having come through that and some ferocious cross winds I managed to post 1.08.15 against my original target of 1.15.

As you can imagine I'm well chuffed! [:)][:)]

    Excellent start point, hambones. Congratz.
Given your 157HR, did you think you could have gone harder towards the end?

next time go for a hr 10 beats below your 10 TT and see how you feel and the next time you do a 10 TT raise your hr by 5 and see if you blow or not .But build this up over the 1st mile or so and get that rhythm going with your legs and breathing .Good luck (a 1hr 05 :30 next time dud.)

The course was the F20 along the A10 so it's pretty flat. Will give your advice a go FTT - I certainly felt like I had some left in the tank and hope to knock a couple of minutes off that on my next attempt. [:)]
