Online shop for trainers?

Can someone save me a few minutes pointless googling and recommend a decent online shop for getting a pair of trainers? Got my first tri in a few weeks so i need a new pair to help get me through.

Btw, I would prefer to get them through a shop but there is no decent sports shop in my neck of the woods so i'm running the gauntlet of ordering over the net.

  • I ordered some from 'sole obsession' yesterday.

They phoned me up about an hour later to confirm they'd got the order, talk through what I'd ordered and let me know they were dispatching it that afternoon. Nice people.

    Hi there.

www.sportsshoes.com are my favourite, but and this is a big <h1>but</h1> you should only order shoes online if you know _exactly_ what you want, in other words you're buying another pair of what you've got already.

If you don't know what shoe is the right shoe for you feet, your running style, your running distances and surfaces, etc... then you should get yourself to the nearest specialist running shop and seek advice.

The extra you'll pay buying in a shop will be a lot less than your physio bill if you get it wrong online.

    Cheers, Andy

make the effort to travel to a good running shop . i traveled a fair way and spent over an hour being fitted at no cost. the bloke had me running outside the shop while he checked my stride and pronation for each shoe i tried. i ended up with a pair of size 9.5 when i would have ordered size 11 online. this is the website of where i went, cant recommend them enough http://www.tortoise-and-the-hare.co.uk/

I believe there is a gentleman kindly <s>spamming the site</s> offering excellent quality shoes from his ineternet sit at the moment.....

Choose the shoes then choose the shop/website.

I think the prize goes to the spammer for resurrecting it in the first place.

Interesting to see which of the recommended shops are still in business though!
