    I have a trek madone. its ok. resell value is good. not the best value for money. low and long. might be better with a "more forgiving" setup at "my age" (almost 40).

    I'd go colnago/pinarello if I had my time over. Nicer to ride, nicer to own.

    Mind you I wouldn't want the inevitable campy groupset - but thats just a personal thing.

  • I fully understand the Italian "thing" (I have owned a few Alfas and have been through the highs and lows). Just strikes me that being skilled framebuilders for 50 years is ok until the material changes. Being expert in Steel fabrication is not necessarily transferable to aluminium, and definitely not to fibre/resin composite materials.
