Last computer game I played much was Frogger, on a BBC Micro, when I should have been writing my dissertation on English Baroque trumpet music.

So I don't understand much of what they are saying, but it sounds credible, and I guess that other gamers would call them out if they were making stuff up.

Yeah, I used to play them when I was younger but I've grown out of them now. I just don't like the idea of wasting time on them, getting wrapped up in them. It's understandable that to be classed in the top few percent in the world at a given game, you couldn't be messin' around with a rocket, car... company as well. It's a bit embarrassing to be portraying that you are, and obvious really when I think about it.

Yeah, I get the gist of it, from moves to the speed of doing tasks within the game. The few percent would immediately know what they're watching is someone on par with themselves.

The problem is akin to calling the cave diver (Vernon Unsworth) a "pedo guy", it makes you question his integrity. It's a stupid thing to do.
