Chainrings

Wondering if it’s possible to swap out the 50T for a 46 or 48 tooth chainring on the lastest shimano 105 crankset? If so any brands / recommendations of suitable chainrings?

thanks in advance

  • As you say the latest 105 I assume you are on 12 speed? Probably possible but the issue is whether anyone makes them as Shimano don't. There are certainly options for 11 speed but nothing currently available for 12 speed AFAIK. Someone else may know of an option though.

Thanks yes 12 speed. My new (old) frame is only comfortable with max 48T.

  • The 11 speed are made by TA specialities. SJS Cycles stock them, I would maybe give them a call and see if the 11 speed could fit a 12 speed as they are the same 4 arm design.
