Friday! Fraternising With The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers And Fat Freddies Cat

Weirdly I'm awake at precisely 4.45am again. There must be a trigger that wakes me. Blood glucose went a bit low again to 3.9 Maybe thats it.

Where's my f'ing fridge?! Still no comms from JL despite promises. Very poor show.

Anyway, have a fab Friday and check shoes for 'presents' especially if your name is Fred or Freddie.

Morning all. Chilly morning so decided to treat OH and drop her off at work shortly. Mutt walked and young oxo booted out to work. A day of dad's taxi, vet visits and finding a water leak under the floor boards. Oh and beer tonight. Enjoy Friday folks.

"...finding a water leak under the floor boards." Yeah, that's only a 5 minute job.

    Morning

Dark and not quite as brr as the wind has dropped and I think a slightly warmer front has rolled in [heads off to see weather forecast]. Yes indeedy but stronger winds later. Now pixxing daan.

Recover today. Hectic last 9 days or so on the trot. Haven't stopped. Garden is now tidy again after roofers. Stacked huge wood delivery yesterday. Scheduled Solar panel installation date: 8th Feb. 14 x 450w panels + 2 x 5.1kw batteries.

Beans is AWOL. Seems to be his thing at this time of day.

    Coffee...

usb endoscope camera is good for inspecting things under the floor, original use was finding a safe key mrs s had managed to drop through a gap that seemed far too small, subsequently used to recall plumbers for not doing it right, twice

    Morning #2

Wife off to work with Xmas party later. She's driving so will return sober and without fun.

Call to JL has revealed there 'should' be a delivery today but no time allocated yet. Apparently the Fridge Freezer arrived in Avonmouth depot overnight. THey are locating it and allocating it to a van.

Off to work's Xmas coffee morning. Usually a prelude to the office lunch and includes alcohol from 10am leading to an all nighter that ends when the last person (usualy me) falls over or cannot face another drink. Usually around 2.30am. I'm not drinking and will be there for an hour tops.

Need to shift double socket nearer to tumble dryer for plug to reach. 'Should' be straight forward except my fingers are painful and bleeding. At least the work gloves soak up the blood.

Pizza with the offspring later as wife at party.

Many coffees to be had between now and then

loverly walk with the hounds with an amazing sunrise.

work snizzle then a gentle swim and the pub later, nothing too heavy as racing tomorrow

Scraped myself out of bed, have 2 and a half weeks off but I'd better pull my finger out and finally do those e Christmas cards. Then off for a spot of virtual racing this afternoon to kick-off the holidays. Monaco, Suzuka and the Red Bull Ring beckon.

Is it not easier to open the back of the machine up and put in a longer chord?

Leak located in about 2hrs after moving bed and lifting carpets etc. Discovered leak above the floorboards behind the bathroom sink. FFS. Water had stain was a fair way from it's source. Plus point leak found and stopped, downside is points to needing new bathroom. Upside I'm not doing it. Just got to break the bad news to the other half.

"Mad Friday" today so I shall do my very best to avoid places where eejits assemble and smash things.

Fairly low key office lunch today, cheese and salami etc with a smidge of Malbec.

Might get to the local this evening for a few with some mates. No run planned for tomorrow, a lie-in is needed.

Yeah. They had 12 days from order to sort it. I thinks that's a fair amount of time, don't you?

Have you got a local Curry's you can pop in and speak to (nicely)? Then say to JL you would like a refund.

Went for a ride and bloody hell it’s cold out there but at least it didn’t rain, sleet or snow.

The only positive with our attempts to buy a washer, drier and fridge freezer from John Lewis is that the refund comes through fairly quickly.

Looked at opening back to fit longer cable but as its mounted on a shelf above WM in a cupboard it's too heavy to move for me and I can't get to it.

A Short extension lead will suffice for now as CBA to get tools out again after yesterday's oven fettling.

Looked at Curry's and AO. We have a local curry's but large items like that are shipped from a distribution depot in Avonmouth same as JL. Both have delivery dates for 27th plus so no better.

Annoying thing was if I had ordered from AO yesterday afternoon I could have had a delivery this Sunday. JL promised they were sorting delivery for today.

I keep a lot of my meds in the fridge so been making do with a cool box. Fine for 36 hours. Had to plug old fridge back in for now. If my meds have gone off or this stress has caused a setback in my recovery I shall be suing massively.

Just had some scam artist via WhatsApp after I posted on JL FB page trying to get to to resolve the case with a refund by downloading Remitly App and putting in my details. Luckily the app was hanging so I couldn't. I then smelled a fish when it seemed to want money sending to Kenya. Scamming fucking bastards. I hung up and deleted app. Fuckers!
