Shoot sleep after having too many tumbles running in the snowy hills, head, knees and elbows mucked up 🙄

unsure what today holds but need to sort wood and wash cars, but more importantly I need to meet some friends in the pub

Morning all. Currently half asleep as been kept awake half the night due to wind and rain. Still blowing a hoolie outside. Hopefully a workshop day today. Try a sort out after recent move around. Run later.

Yep, still blowing here too but not too badly.

Security light I noticed was stuck in the on state at 2 30am ish. So had to sort that. Basically foliage that had blown around and ended up near the sensor so was an easy sort but still an unwelcome thing to do at silly o'clock.

Catch up on CX later. My porker needs washing too TLW so pop up at lunchtime, cheers mate. Took her for a post operative spin yesterday when the weather relented at about 2pm. Sun popped out and the wind dropped. She's luverly.

Beans got wormer on the neck yesterday so I am the devil despite Salmon Nibbles compensation. Today gets worse for him as Mrs P usually gets the ironing board out. It's the end of the world that thing.

  • Back to gloomy with wind, all evidence of snow gone. Chill morning, daughter no.2 back off home after a visit. Off to hotel not to far away for tasting menu with matching wines and stay over, belated birthday treat for OH.

Dry today but very gusty, so going to walk the hounds round the village as there aren't many trees to drop branches on us. May chance a short ride down a route with plenty of high hedges as wind breaks as I haven't been out for ages. Also need to get old dishwasher out of the house and down to the garage later on before sorting a tip trip.

    Morning

It might have stopped raining here but it’s looking rather dark and it’s a touch on the blowy side. So later will be hazarding a trip to the garage to do some climbing and if it hasn’t started racing again. I might dig up some gravel to see if I can find any more manholes.

a few weeks ago noticed by chance that some enterprising oriental chappies are making hoods in a range of colours for sram etap, sram only does black, ordered some white ones to match bar tape

just did the upper body workout that is removing the old sram ones (without cheating by cutting), and put the new ones on, perfect match, i suspect they're moulded from the original

And I am Home. Bro collected me yesterday pm, and I'm so happy to be released from the confines.

So so weak. Moving around more, assisted with crutches at times 😳, so I am on recovery. Have physios exercise programme to follow. Going to be a while.

Body still v fussy about intakes of foods: need to get the cals in, do have prescribed nutrient and vitamin rich Fortijuice to take, so this morning included IrnBru and an SIS gel.

Bro here for a few days working out how to arrange the house for me being housebound and mobility limited for n days/weeks, like having one's manservant attending.

    And that completes today's news.

Glad to hear you are home Loon. Hospitals are so draining for your soul. Don't go over doing it mind. Listen to your body.

    Hope the recovery goes well.

Uneventful drive home from Oxford despite the gopping weather. God knows how.

Usual bunch of twonks driving at 80plus on totally saturated M4 with big stretches of standing water. Spray was horrendous. Really glad I had my winter tyres on. They disperse the water very well.

Nice to be home. Daughter popped back thus lots of espresso and backgammon. I beat her 4-1.

Just been checking our Velux windows. We had a bit of leakage over the last couple of years. Gave them a really good clean and tweak over the late summer and they are all bone dry at bottom corners. Cheered me up no end especially with the given weather.

Managed a breezy blast on the bike, headwind on the way out was quite trying but flew back. Only a few little unplanned sideways swerves when caught by the odd gust but the high hedges came in pretty hard for most of the time. Feel better for that.
