Morning, just had one weird sleep dreaming about random 💩. Currently considering do I get up and do parkrun or wimp out as absolutely gopping outside. Might just stay snuggled up in bed. Out with sons girlfriends parents tonight. Is the silly sod about to commit to something. Hopefully not yet.

Too many bikes according to Mrs O.
  • Watching the damp looking snow fall at the moment, apparantly turning to rain soon and turning mild. No outdoor activities today!

    Ordered wormer for Beansie rat.

    Laters.

Morning. Bloody miserable here with 45⁰ Rain.

    Shopping shopped.

About to set off to Oxford for Formal Dinner with son at his college. We'll be like drowned rats on arrival I guess.

At least the skipped chemo this week has left me a little more human.

Bet there are loads of silly buggers on M4 as usual. Getting wife to drive as Prednisolone has affected my focus. Annoying.

    Morning Peeps,

Gopping but not too windy. Have headed down to a nearby farm to collect a load of lamb and beef which should see us through to the New Year. Headed into town later for a bite to eat and supplies.

Will catch up on a couple of episodes of that Day of the Jackal series on Sky later on.

The road is a river. Gopping. I'll have to drop the DW's off in town or else they take the bus in wellies.

Delaying my escape home until pm, when the temps are up and the rain has washed off the snow from The Slope. I couldn't walk up it in dry conditions in my current state let alone with layer of snow this morning. Bro's car to be my taxi.

And now DPD have decided not to wait until Monday as requested to deliver a box of prescription stuff (a month's worth of stoma baggies plus accessories for those interested) but today between 1-2. Guess that can tie in with bro waiting at my house until pm for conditions to get ok.

Jings I've got lots to sort out and change from normal previous life so I can nest happily at home.

    Morning

We’ve had snow, rain and and 40 mph plus winds so far this morning and it’s not supposed to stop raining till tomorrow. So no out door activities today. Might have to drill some holes for Mrs W though.

    Run? No thank you.

Decided to spend a while constructively and sorted out MyWhoosh, iPad and the turbo trainer in the garage then ride for an hour.

It’s pretty much Zwift but free. I expect there aren’t the group races etc but in reality all I want is something to control my smart trainer so all is good… except I forgot how much it kills your arse!

Plans for today include a nice lunch, tax returns and the hot tub.

  • I found that with a couple of saddles and then bought a cheap prologic saddle this week, didn't even notice the saddle on a 1 hour session!

  • Snow stopped just slushy everywhere, had a fun wee drive in the Audi with 4wd, now it's all melting so turning yuk!

    Zwift later.

It's funny how a saddle is good for a 5 hour ride but barely an hour when you are static.

Yup. Usual cnuts on the M4 in suv/audi/BMW/rangies doing stupid speeds in zero visibility. Saw one go off into armco. Luckily we got past in 1st lane.

Adrian the chap who is decorating our house is currently coming up to mile 40 in the Hard Wolds. Which is basically the Wolds way 80 miles and it’s never stopped raining here all day. He’s hoping to win the vets 60+ cat.

  • Have you actually got a saddle or are you sitting on the seatpost?

It feels like a very pointy seatpost :)

Survived the meal and meeting prospective DIL. Pleasant meal and no announcements TF. Hopefully they'll wait a bit longer before committing.

Lovely evening at Pembroke College Oxford for the Guest Formal in the Main Hall. Fantastic meal with plenty of wine. Sadly no Port tonight. Son was quite social for a change. He has a new GIRLFRIEND! Yet to meet her though she sounds nice. All round a jolly good evening.
