    Morning

Dull as ditch water today. I think we may be going west to procure Christmas beast.

Whilst driving to pigland, I hit a peasant at silly speed overtaking a truck. Unknowingly, said bird had a tour of SW Jockland as it was stuck in the grille all the way there and all the way back. Did more damage than I first thought. Ask the big cheese for a bug discount for me TLW, ta.

Did you Close Your Eyes when said Peasant was hit? Maybe it thought it was a One Way Street and Didn't Look Down the other way to see your screaming pimp-mobile? You'll be the King of Wishful Thinking if you expect to get a discount for your parts....

Enough! (I hear you cry).....I'm off for a lie down after a particularly bad night sleep of having crazy itching of my rash and couldn't get comfortable in any position. Shattered now (that'll be the antibiotics having an effect in my boxers)

Morning (though it feels like the afternoon), another round of 5am meetings with the Kingdom of Far Far Away including presentation to the big cheese. One more stupid o'clock start tomorrow then I'm done. Not as tired as yesterday though. Now catching up with the day job and supping coffee.

    Morning

Feeling a bit weary after yesterdays package wrestling. Got to take it to the tip at some point once the guys who are fitting some wardrobes finish.

A 4 day weekend awaits us after today, puppy trainer is calling later. Got to sort out a lasagne and pack some wet weather gear.

In the meantime, hunt down some squeaky toys.

They are semi tame as they are fed and reared and fat and slow and very stupid. There is no point breeding a bird that the shooter types with their tweed and silly hats (whish are brought out of the wardrobe for a few days a year) cannot shoot easily. More importantly, cannot shoot easily after polishing off a few hip flasks. They will book themselves into the highly rated, highly priced Knockinaam 'boutique hotel' at £400 pp pn with £400 bottles of wine and expect to go out and splat a few similarly overweight Pheasants for their outlay. The more the better. It satisfies an inner ego and justifies the expense.

The upside of this is that the local Kebab shops and bars get a financial boost too because the 7 course dinners couldn't fill a gnat on a diet and they get taxi's and pile into town for fodder and drink (I kid you not). The downside is that native species of game and guinea fowl populations are critical as they are overlooked. in preference for the money making Pheasant right across Jockland. These other species are far harder to hit. The spread of the shotgun shell can be adjusted by 'choke' and you would have to be Stevie Wonder to be able to miss these low flying, over weight, semi-tame Budgies or at least, point the shotgun in the opposite direction.

It would kill me if I hit a rabbit or cat or dog or any other living species but the Pheasant, I have only fleeting sympathy.

Similarly, for peasants I only have fleeting sympathy.

    Afternoon folks,

I was reading Pinno's posts and was thinking I know a lot of people that are fat, slow and stupid, not sure they were intentionally bred that way. Shooting them or running them down would be a blessing though, probably do more damage to the car mind you.

Back in the orifice after a lovely few days away, unsurprisingly it's still a shitshow. Nice to wobble in at least, even though it was decidedly grey and dreary. Is it true there was a sighting of blue sky here recently?

Off to the old dear's tonight, might have a beer after that.

Bah! You lot are pants! No one get references to Pinno Go(ing) West? Shittest band of the 80's. Pun-tastic song titles though.

    Rubbish.

Excellent steroid buzz today after this mornings 2 hour deep sleep. Cleaned out 4 kitchen cupboards of out of date packets of stuff. Energy gels from 2015 anyone? Washed down something sticky that had leaked. Black Treacle maybe?

Washed and polished the windows of the two cars as they were smeary as f#£& and in low sun couldn't see a thing.

Now double espresso and sit down to listen to my CD of the new Cure album my mate bought for me. Very good.

You could have given my post a 'Like' for the reference at least.

Steroids had me cooking Trifle at 3am. and studying the Racing Post hard. My Spaniel was over the moon to get titbits at that time of night.

I kind of got it, but had obviously blocked them from my mind enough not to be able to remember the band name and make the connection. Then I distracted by talking of running over some pauper bint and I forgot 🙄
