Seemingly trivial things that intrigue you

You are far from alone. 😱
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Think it might be that someone has connected up the little pneumatic pipes the wrong way around.

Look on the bright side PN, at least you'd pulled your pants up before taking that pic...

I always thought big button was easier to hit which is the one they want you to use.

I have no idea which button i'm meant to press, even in my own house.
When I moved into my previous house, there was a handwritten sticker on the cistern that said 'shart flush' on the big button.

Just press both to make sure.

Not sure how air would help in a hydraulic system. 😉

They are pneumatic lines to the flush mechanism. If they were hydraulic they'd work a hell of a lot better than they do.

Oh come on. Can you imagine the faff of setting that up in a new bathroom? Or having to bleed your flush buttons every six months?😂

The flushing is much more powerful, with better modulation.

Pre EU rules there were only leak proof siphon flushes, but the importance of a single set of rules trumped environmental considerations.

Should have put £5 on you wheeling your hobby horse out 😁
If you don't fancy buying your bathroom from Armitage Shanks or Ideal Standard, then you are buying European toilets anyway. Anything with plumbing joints and water can leak.

Maybe they should label the buttons number 1 and number 2 as bog standard.
2 -
Welcome back. Where have you been, you deserter?

Wow! Who would have thought a bog flush could stimulate such debate!! I feel flushed with success.
(I'll get my coat...)
Actually, very unlike SWIMBO's this morning that was tenaciously clinging on like a big brown smile in the pan. She'd kill me if she read this!!! Big bucket of water from a height was required I kid you not!
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

I should have put money on you defending EU rules.

Ha, I made it to the border, but got caught. Rick made it.

No, he's been transferred to another camp.

Twatter.

He twats and gets twatted. But the twattings are less personal. I think.

My little bit of cyberstalking after his flounce suggests that he doesn't get much response there (if any), so maybe it's better for him, in that he can get stuff off his chest and not have the pushback that CS gave him, and it's the home of crap graphs too.

Since my comment about Valence & Valencia both being 'Valence' in French, I've since realised that both are 'Valencia' in Spanish. About time they sorted their shit out, given that the obvious solution is staring them in their faces.

Just found about this hidden football pitch near Selkirk, must have cycled not far from it lots of times, will have to go and have a look next time.
It seems bonkers and a lot of pseudy drivel written about it!

Valencia was originally Valentia Edetanorum, while Valence was Valentia Julia.
It's not that different from all the places called Stoke something.

There are places called Dull and Boring.
Just saying.

Ha! One I prepared earlier. I wonder just how many people have stopped just to take this photo, like me?

Interesting, but no excuse in the 21st century for not updating, given they've lost the second part.
It's also nuts that the French call both Vienne (near Lyon) and Vienna 'Vienne'. I had to stipulate 'Vienne Isère' when trying to find a coach company to give a quote for last July, otherwise it would have been quite a long trip for the driver. I just don't know why the inertia/blindness... after all, we (UK) managed to change from 'Peking' to Beijing' without any fuss.
