Another dull but dry day here. Brisk 30 min walk to pharmacy to collect new prescriptions and a brisk 30 mins back.
Was meant to have boiler serviced today but Engineer has really bad flu and wasn't happy to come given my chemo. That was fine with me. Last thing I need. Slightly annoying as I had to completely empty airing cupboard and removed shelves to give him access.
More boat bashing. Lunch. Snooze. Laters.

Afternoon folks,
Very glad it's Friday, been a strange week to say the least. Working and shirking from home today, just renewed the car insurance added on business use and the lad. One added rather more than the other.
Had a bit of an ego boost earlier, one of the senior managers from the other company we're being merged with said that I must be very highly thought of as the guy from the PE firm that owns us had said if anybody leaves just let them go, yet he spent 2 days trying to make me stay. I'm going to struggle to get my head through the door at this rate. Too little too late, should have talked to me sooner. So being rude and accurate in my professional life hasn't done me any harm it seems.
