Took the morning off in anticipation of needing a lie in after last night's cider fest in town with the old uni lot. Will do a few bits n pieces before a spot of work in the afternoon.

Morning all. Feeling a bit more human now. Weather is not nice and currently very misty here in the midlands. Mutt is keeping me company. Spent a couple of days arranging some of next years bike adventures, just need to get a few bikepacking bits on a budget. Hope the cars not to bad Mr P

Quite a change today. Yesterday was sunshine, roof down driving into town. Today was steady light rain *all day*, finally stopped very late afternoon. Did some shed cleanup. Considered kicking off major maintenance work on the various tools, but too hard.
Gave the trainer bike some service work instead, been a fair while. New shifter cable fitted, drivetrain cleaned up and lubed, tweaked all the adjustments that had slipped a bit. Back on the turbo and a flat 50 km cruise was much more pleasant without the notchy shifting and noisy chain...

Ended up a very gentle ride as cycling buddy found he wasn't 100% and was struggling. Dry but wind starting to pick up, at one point we were battered by acorns blowing off a roadside oak 😆

Evening folks,
Day of shirking from home meant I avoided much of the standard stupidity. EPO has some form of plague so isn't keen on going to the pub. I might go myself to pick up a takeaway, obviously would need a drink whilst I wait.
