Gentle run as I’m up thanks to the room near me leaving their alarm going for 10+ mins 🙄
work snizzle and hopefully get away at a reasonable time as off tomorrow for the wake so I imagine the current wife might need me around

Another trip into town, but with beers after work so left The Panzer at home. Unfortunately I'll be buying the first round as this is a new minion's welcome drinks.

Showing signs of sun!! Feck me. @ 4.31am the stars were stunning Betelguise* was bright.
Winter bike pedal and winter clothing. Pity. As long is it isn't blowing a hoolie, it might even be good.
Laters
*It is 700 million miles in diameter. Holy f*ck.

What I want to know is, how close to Betelguise does SG have to get for a comfortable 30 deg c?

As I type I should be about 2/3rds of the way up Cragg Vale
I'm not though as we went out last night and had steak and wine. Ferking rubbish... and I can't see much more being done either.

well, the 'surface' of betelgeuse is considerably cooler than the sun's, and it's a variable star, but it's a lot bigger
using extremely round numbers...
sol luminosity 4x10^26 watts m^2 has a basking distance of 150 million km
betelgeuse 5x10^31 watt m^2
given that, use knowledge of inverse square law and you're there
i'm off for a coffee and biccie

Afternoon folks,
More orifice based delights, long meeting with one of our larger suppliers meant I've only just had lunch. We didn't go out for lunch as he was keen to get going early 🙄
Only a 14,619 mph cross wind for the wobble in, didn't feel that bad fortunately.

Glorious here today, unfortunately WingFH so didn't get to play out. Bad time management me thinks... But I'm now in the good books!
Off to the gym in a bit followed by some roasted bird and an early night.

Had to have chemo pump removed today. A procedure that takes all of 10 minutes. Appointment at 4pm. Got there at 3.30. Seen at 5.40. Apparently all the reception staff finish at 4.30 and go without telling the nurses who is on the list. Wonderful! Had to pay Kings ransom for parking over 2 hours and almost missed making it to the chemist for my Santa's sack size bag of repeats.
Nothing a couple of Tramdols and a Diazepam won't solve in an hour or so.
Also had a run-in with a fat entitled cow in the carpark who overtook and nabbed a space an old lady had been patiently waiting for. Told her how rude and inconsiderate she was. She retorted. I pointed out that her ugliness was not only on the inside and left it at that.
Grrrrr.
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Public Service Broadcasting gig was excellent, highly recommended. Plus a pleasant couple of pints of IPA

Only know a couple of their songs but I imagine they were superb
