Wotcha!
Today is the last day for a decent pedal before an endless stream of Atlantic lows roll in. It's looking good already.
Beans is AWOL and has been since about 9.30pm. Think I might go find the dodgy rat.

Good pedal*. Started with 0 wind. Nothing. Nada. Mill pond. Then got stronger and stronger until I was blown home on a gale.
*Despite having an argument with a site worker bloke who got shirty with me when I skipped through the cone lined road where there are traffic lights and BT stuff going on. The section is so long, cars get impatient behind you and this one tw@t driver was too close to my back wheel. So that's when I went into the coned area where there was nothing happening. Then shirty foreman bloke leaned out of his van window barking something about site safety at me. I told him that no one was hurt and he should get a life as it was far safer for me.

Avoided any dampness on the pedal in, though it was a bit gloomy. Currently in the office stuffing my face with regulation double portion cottage pie. Then onto torturing numbers until they tell me what I want to hear.
In other news, junior hound nearly bagged his first pheasant according to Mrs. 666. They're not the fastest at getting airborne and didn't spot the hound until he came charging out from behind the decking, apparently it was a close one. Shame, I quite fancied a bit of game pie.

You do not want 'hound' to catch the Pheasant: the resulting carnage and feathers everywhere ain't funny. Once they get a taste of warm blood, the dog is changed forever and not nececelery for the better. Sometimes, this can lead to viewing anything with eyes including cats and squirrels. Up to the point they try to catch some mammal, it's just a game.
Brutus was trained to retrieve but any dog who bit into flesh was banned from any shooting party. One dog decided that he was going to scoff a Pheasant. He disappeared. Reliable hearsay said he was 'accidentally' shot.

Very pleasant ride with a pal, sunny, warm, no wind. If this is autumn, can we keep it?

Bit late for that, he's already had a couple of pigeons and baby blackbirds. Always was a hunter. The older one can't be bothered except for a bit of half-hearted squirrel chasing.

Evening folks,
Another day of bedlam after a pleasant wobble in, it was a beautiful morning in the park, shame about my destination. Had a stinking headache all day, I think it was the lad's fault. Pub after the curry last night and I told him his train was going in 10 minutes, he said he'd better be quick then, leapt to his feet and rushed to the bar, returning with 3 whiskeys. Obviously it would have been rude to refuse.

Was well sunny in The Homeland, 20 kWh genned from the PVs, no bad for October. The true sungod must be back.
A day of different work stuff but lots of good bantz on the Reserve. Afternoon we did a scything training sesh, I did scythe back 3 years ago when volunteering in the Earth Trust in S Oxon, so I did get back in the groove and scythed good... Not sure my back liked it too much, so another hot soak been enjoyed and now a relax glass. Or 2.

Evening
Todays was an early start so Mrs W could pick up some prints from the young lady who did Paddington and the Queen pictures. Then it was to the estate agents to get the keys for the new house, well new to us as it was built in 1700 somethings. Several trips to move stuff from the holiday let and lots of cleaning.
Pub for tea and Mrs W has already retired to bed.
