Set off this morning in the p1$$ing rain but had stopped by time I got into The Big Smoke. Still, glad I did my ride yesterday on dry roads. Lots of meetings and stuff going on in the office, including being dragged into being a 'mentor'; I'm sure it'll be loads of fun...

Afternoon folks,
Very moist overnight, but managed to wobble in sunshine thankfully. Decidedly fresh though. Very glad I didn't have to drop the EPO off today as the main road through Twickenham was flooded apparently. Have to come in tomorrow as well, so between WFH and dropping the EPO in that could be my first 5 day week on the bike since before covid.
Had to go and buy cakes for the building earlier, that was a tremendous hardship. Good job I've been on the bike.

Wet, wet ,wet here and just like the band miserable.
Went to Northallerton so Mrs W could take dress back, then had a late breakfast in Betty’s and avocado’s were involved. It got paid for with the vouchers Mrs W got for her retirement. Tried to buy some cycling shoes but there seems to limited stock around, one style wouldn’t be available till February. Did order a pair via the shop after the nice gentleman measured my feet.
Also bought a new bed. I was going to do some weights but someone’s put the fire on so it’s too hot to exercise.

Thanks Spinner, although I only got a day older. Company buys cakes for the last Friday of the month, but I pointed out lots of people* shirk from home on a Friday so Thursday is better.

Sorry, my comment above about only getting a day older was meaning it wasn't my birthday so I only aged a day, not a year. Company bought cakes, i just went to buy them with petty cash to get out the office and make sure I got to pick and choose. This meant we had proper cream cakes from Sainsbury's, not poorly made pastries from Costco.
I'm aging quickly enough with one birthday pa, I really don't need another.
