Managed to be there at the end a few hours ago. Knackered but not tired, advantage of the sleep deprivation training I suppose

    Morning

Dull here. Chores and stuff to do. We've avoided soggy until now somehow but it will arrive Wednesday according to Schafernaker. He always brings dodgy weather. I want the gorgeous curvy Rizzini spouting stuff about 'calm' and 'sunny'.

Sorry to hear that news TLW.

Morning all. Definitely moist weather today. Won't be doing a lot outside today. Condolences to Mr T and family.

Too many bikes according to Mrs O.

Sorry TLW1, sounds like it was a mercy at the end.

Thanks all - it was time

  • Condolonces @tlw1 and also to the current wife.

SIL's nan is in a similar situation, the doctors decided to withold any meds (except morphine) including her diabetes stuff as she had "hours to live"... Three weeks ago, and shes still here.

Triathlon completed yesterday and I'm quite happy with it. However I did put myself at a slight disadvantage by swiming an additonal two lengths of the pool. Other than that I had to sit on the motorway for a few hours as a bridge was being replaced.

And then sat on it again as I had to pick the kids up from the airport.

Anyway, on a lighter note it's Monday so no doubt it'll involve a gym or running and salad.

I guess the knee op is now showing a positive outcome.

  • @pinno yes it is thank you. No pain at all from the surgery other than slight niggles which I'll just put down to being older.

Morning full of meetings, including some 'half year reviews' with minions that Human Remains have now mandated we document fully 🙄 More to come this afternoon. Song for the day: 'I don't like Mondays'.

  • Surprisingly dry here, likely to be raining rest of the week 🙄. No riding today so better do some chores.

    Afternoon folks,

Another delightful day in the orifice, mildly moist wobble in was a lot better than it could have been. Traffic was satisfyingly bad at least. Busier than usual as my immediate boss is off for the week, lucky fucker. Managed to avoid doing a long and complex report that nobody reads by going to the MD and saying it was a waste of time and nobody reads it. Thankfully he agreed with me. I didn't tell him I cooked the figures last time to prove nobody even looks at it.

Condolences to all TLW, I'm sure the wife is in bits even though it certainly does feel like it was time as you say. Now you just have to look after her and try not to murderise any of her family, however tempting it may be.

Ooh, that was a lot of noise, I think the heavens just opened and dumped their entire contents.

Condolences tlw1. I was present at the end of both parents, 7 years apart, yes is emotional tough going, but closure had become the right thing.

Anyway, to cheerier things. Still dry in the Homeland cf dahn saff, though Mr 🌞 hasn't poked through much. More wall render painting done. Now getting sorted out ahead of this week's trip to Vlaanderen, the big transit bit to be done tomorrow 🤞 Always end up packing way too much stuff...but the crates of beer empties take priority, estate cars can be useful.

    Condolences tlw1.

Interesting day drove for 2 hours at Mrs W’s suggestion to a shop that was no longer there.🤔 Drove back to some other shops and bought some things, then ended going for a meal 15 minutes from where are staying which was nice. Did see a couple of HGV’s failing to get up Sutton Bank which looked it was going to spoil a lot of peoples day.

    Has it stopped raining yet.
