Wotcha
Another glorious morning. Yesterday was stunning and 20 deg. Perfect. 20 deg is a perfect temp. You can pedal in it, work in it, drink coffee in it, have a fight with Beans...
More porker reassembly then a test drive. Maybe a test drive to see if we can get a coffee in the sticks. I think I know a few places.

Morning
Out with the boomers today and the weathers looking ok. I did offer to stay at home with Mrs W on her first day of retirement but she told me to bugger off out. Later will be the pub.

Misty morning, but warm, garden stuff and wash cars.

Good but fairly sensible evening out in town last night given it was a school night. Looks a bit dull out but the forecast says 20C today and 22C tomorrow - will be good for the ride into town.
Onto more meetings and fighting HR generated stupidity & time wasting.

Good Noon as it is precisely 12 of the clock.
Off for Oncology appointment for 2pm. To say I wasn't shitting myself would be a lie. I know it is going to be a tough truth to swallow whatever the outcome is. Ho Hum....
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Crap time, but at least you will have more info.

Afternoon folks,
More orifice based tomfoolery, I'm trying to behave myself as we have some large cheeses in the building. The upside of this is I should get some cake. Out for a ride with the old bike crowd after work and then to the old dear's as she heads off to Italy tomorrow.
Good luck PN69, I'm sure these things are different for everyone but I found my first oncology appointment improved my state of mind. I went from dread of what was coming to having some vague understanding of the plan and the knowledge that something was happening. Sending any positive vibes I have in your direction. Loved the kite flying pictures, who'd have thought you could take a decent snap ๐

Site meeting earlier, very quiet in work now as everyone is out. Time for trainer shopping and coffee.
Beef bourgignon later already prepped last night and slow cooking at home.

Soooo... Stage 4 meaning that the cancer has spread from bowel to liver, but we kinda knew that so not a surprise.
Positive noises about the treatment so I'll start Chemo in about 3 weeks using 3 different drugs lasting 3 months! Might require a liver op at end of chemo. Once that is done maybe more chemo. Hopefully by then the bowel tumour will have shrunk so will have op to remove that but we are talking months into 2025 now. Feel more positive that there is a plan in place. The consultant was brilliant as too were the specialist nurse team.
It's going to be a long hard slog and not an easy road. More like Frodo and his journey to Mount Doom! That's where any similarity I have with a Hobbit ends.
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Sounds cautiously encouraging PN. As Veronese said above, it's better when you know the problem and the plan. Best of luck with all of this!

Best wishes and ๐คfor you PN69.
A hot day in The Gardens working with the volunteer team and the trainees. This year's trainees set seem to have gelled quickly, getting on with each other, and us, interesting chats ongoing as we do Stuff. Much more interaction cf last year.
Chilling out front with a coldie as the sun starts to drop down. Can see the midgies are out, no wind, so expect the bats will be back tonight. Got bat clips on the nighttime security cameras couple weeks back, a first for me. Last night's harvest moon was a cracker, horizons looking clearer tonight so...

Definitely positive noises P69. From personal experience they donโt mention operations as an option if theyโre not confident of the treatment.
