    Morning

Early start to get everything packed for removal guys, it’s all decisions, decisions what to pack and what we might need in the next few weeks.

    Morning folks,

Last day in Frankfurt, very much looking forward to getting home. Weather has been shit here too, been inside the show most of the time so that's largely irrelevant.

Good luck with the packing and moving Webboo.

I have a recurring nightmare about moving house again. So. Much. Stuff. 😬🫣

Nice spring day yesterday. Today now chilly with snow forecast for tomorrow. Typical. Need to resume the battle with old clothesline, which is stuck in the mount. Wth my luck and knowing the b@st@rd who built this place, it is probably set in with some sort of adhesive. Have lost count of the number of times I’ve metaphorically danced a jig on his grave shouting “good riddance you shoddy tradesman..”

Start with the basics: Toothbrush and a change of underwear.

If you were SG: Hawaiian shirts, 10 pineapples, crate of bubbly, toothbrush and a change of underwear.

If you were Beans: 3 mice, 2 Blue Tits, 4 short hair voles and a newspaper.

    Morning all.

Not been posting for a while. Some might recall I had a colonoscopy about a month back where they found a lesion in my bowel. Turns out it is cancer. Now after having CT Scan, 2x MRI scans and a PET CT scan they have found cancer in my liver too. It's been a bit of a shock tbh. Head has been all over the place and been signed off work since initial biopsy results confirming the initial bowel cancer. So spent time going for a week holiday with the family which was lovely.

Now got appointment with the Oncology Dept. on Wednesday to discuss treatment. Seems like intensive chemo and radio therapy to attack the liver issue then if that works then an op to remove part of bowel and a stoma fitted. This will be the best possible outcome. It's going to be a long tough fight.

Don't think I'll be riding for a while which is a bummer.

Hope y'all fit and healthy out there and remember if anything in your body doesn't feel right go to your doctor!!

    Morning Folks,

Apple based recovery drinks after yesterdays ride were needed. Chilling (literally) in the cave and sliding towards the weekend.

Saw this little critter on the cave door this morning, was wondering what species it is

Really sorry to hear that PN, hopefully they caught it early enough - but best of luck with the treatment and stick around here if you can, it can be therapeutic listening to others spout bollox.

That looks very like a European fan palm weevil.

Sunshine is back (aurora visible overnight) so outdoors it is.

Yeah right 😄 In which case it'll starve to death as it's a good 100m or so from its lunch...

Talking of fancy caterpillars, happened upon a fat old elephant hawk moth caterpillar in the garden a couple of days ago. 'Twas on the path thrashing to and fro presumably to make it look scarier than the painted eyes already do. Wonder if a bird had dropped it? Popped it in the border next to some willow herb so it could snack or burrow depending on it's preference.

Ah shit, that's not good to hear. Hope the treatment goes as well as these things possibly can. They are getting better at treating these things so try to stay positive and as Stevo says, chatting shit on here can help as you can vent to randoms on the internet.

Yep, also looks like they can cause a nasty rash if you touch them so am leaving it in peace. A bird will probably make a meal of it as it's pretty obvious, being the only thing on a white garage door.

Very sorry to hear this photonic. Tough but you’re tougher, get stuck in and grind out the win. Thinking of you.

Thanks for all the messages of support. It really helps at times like these.

I'm quite philsophical about things at the moment. I've had a great life and done wonderful things and have a wonderful family. Can't really ask for more and feel quite blessed. Obviously it would be nice to live longer if I can so that's my goal. Got some nice floaty Diazepam for the low moments but the family are keeping me positive and being supportive so can't ask for more.

Ta muchly. Might have a beer tonight.
