Where is everybody Tuesday

Well time was ticking so thought I'd kick this off.

Headed into town again, lured by the promiseiof a free full English brekkie at an advisors in return for sharing my view on tax stuff. Sounds like a fair deal.

It was a trick question. I like tomatoes but not on a breakfast plate. Beans all the way.

And I have moved up a generation, Gen N+1 or whatever is the terminology. Granddaughter arrived at last at 0530, healthy lungs it sounds. 😊 Modern tech means early look see of course. I'll let the chaos settle a bit to plan first visit dahn saff for actuals.

ok, get organised. There is a Volunteers tea (coffee para mi) party this morning over in The Gardens, I foresee lots of cake...

Maybe SG fell victim to one of his lab experiments.

    Morning

Blowy and cold brrr. F*ckers. Now raining.

Talking of Beans - he's not happy. Cabin fever. Came in soggy 3 times last night and tried to chew my arm off on as many occasions.

Anyhoo, a few chores and stuff.

    Laters

    Morning

It seems to have stopped raining but it’s not warm anymore. Bathroom fittings taken down pending house move which could be as soon as next week. Not sure what rest of the day holds need to do some weights but not sure I can be bothered.

    Loon, Grandad or Grandpa.

  • Congrats on the new arrival @orraloon

Congrats for picking up the mantle @Stevo_666

I do like beans but am also partial to 1/2 a baked beef tomato on a breakfast, well seasoned of course.

Gym gymed this morning, starting to get back on track now.

Bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, baked beans and hash browns. Buuuurp!

  • Might be a bit posh, but roasted vine tom's on a cooked breakfast for me. Baked beans is controversial so it seems and was a discussion topic on Radio 4's The Kitchen Cabinet last week. I am of the opinion that beans should only ever be on hot buttered toast with a fried egg on top.

You cannot have scrambled eggs and beans on the same plate, surely?

you can, but you mustn't cross the streams, which is why the fried mushrooms are used as a barrier

Scrambled eggs, beans and any type of bread or potato goes nicely.

    Pinno, מלך אידיוט וחרא מכונאי
  • If the eggs are scrambled Marco Pierre White style (as much butter as egg) then no way can they go on a plate with beans, that would create a liquid egg and bean juice pool of horrendous proportions.

Fair enough, but this was an all you can eat freebie so I'm willing to overlook sub Michelin star food quality. Might need to have my suit trousers adjusted, mind.

Just have them both on top of cheese on toast and you’ll be fine.

Actually the other night I had a snacky cheese toastie with smoked back bacon and mushrooms on top, with sliced salad tomatoes ex greenhouse. That was well tasty. Scottish quality bacon innit, none of that water injected intensive farmed Dutch import rubbish.
