Wotcha!
Promising start but then yesterday was had promise and then it rained and rained...
Beans the varmint left the remnants of a bird and a mouse (on the living room carpet) and there were feathers everywhere. Mrs P is not happy. He's foregone breakfast.
Can it not rain please?

Morning
I was about to set out for Wednesdays boomer ride and it started to rain. So I’ve got changed and now having 3rd coffee and will go out a bit later in different and hopefully drier direction.

Earned a few Brownie points by rearranging a meeting to give Mrs. 666 a lift back home after she dropped her car off for its service. Now pressing on with mundane work stuff. Got a call this afternoon where we're getting more details of the work 'restructuring' (aka making people redundant), but I know thàt I'm not on the hit list. Phew.

Got caught in a downpour. Descended off the Col de la Aldouran Glen and felt like Wilko Kelderman coming off the Stelvio.
12 deg c. Forecast looking good over the next few days though.

Went out with cycling buddy, 30miles in, we slowed down to let a van past on a single track road, just started to get going when I moved out , Martin clipped my back wheel with his front and went down, to not get up again, I suspect broken neck of femur! Ambulance took him away, his wife came to pick up his bike, I wait to hear the outcome. Didn't rain though😬

Yep and low speed too!
Just heard it is a fractured pelvis, so 3 months and lots of analgesics. At least no surgery.

low speed fall is how i broke my hip, whereas the time a car took me out going fast, just bad roadrash and a few scrapes
pelvis not needing surgery, does it just heal with no long term issues?
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
Apparantly so, painful though.

Wife broke her pelvis a few years back, that pretty much covers it as I recall. Not sure if her hip, back, sciatic problems now are as a result. But it's one of those injuries that means doing anything hurts.
