The rare occasion when you see the replay and it's a relief. Thought McNulty had gone flying over the barrier, sliding under and halfway down the hill is relatively benign.

Nasty crash for McNulty, who went under the armco barrier on a tight turn. He's back riding, but was bleeding from some cuts and abrasions.

Back on and riding but won't be getting back and nor will Vine. UAE have taken the Ineos approach to having numbers in the break.

Vine is only 18 seconds behind the front group according to McEwen.

Sensible plan would be ease up and rejoin the peloton.

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Explains why Soler is going through then! Meanwhile Movistar and being Movistar - I assume they have a rider whose top 10 is under threat from the break.

More logical suggestion by Robbie now that it's Vine's bike on the team car and he's further back on his spare.

McEwen now wondering if the 18 second figure is because Vine has changed bikes and his race bike, with the transponder on it, is on top of the UAE team car.

As McEwen now updated, his bike might be but not him - he was waiting at the side of the road trying to find McNulty in a bush for a while.

It's lucky he wasn't wearing the Visma Tour kit or they'd have never found him.

Thought you'd be able to tell because nobody is posting single word "Nairo" posts. If he's not mentioned it's a sure sign he's in the race

Roglic showing that sprinting for the bonus seconds is just a tactic because it works and that he's capable of going long when necessary. O'Connor didn't look like he's struggling as such it's just that Roglic is flying. Mas looking good again though.

O Conner grinding to a halt

Woods wins, yet another solo stage win with a very big gap. 44 seconds to Schmidt and 1:10 to Yo Yo Soler.

Ben O'Connor fighting hard but it's a painful watch.

Roglic pulls away from Mas, Kuss already dropped

O'Connor looked like he was recovering but now looks like he's blown. Roglic has now dropped everyone and got a big gap very quickly.
