Another coat of paint on the Edinburgh garage door, into town for lunch then back to rural quiet.

Last day in Menaggio today, finished the lawns and tidied the garden. A short swim and lazing around the pool for the rest of the day.
BBQ this evening and a nice red wine then off to Sorrento in the morning.

Up early again for another car and bike based communt to the Big Smoke. Early enough for bit to be pretty much dark anyway.
A spot of good delegation to the minions means not too many meetings while I scoff Scotch Eggs and sup free coffee.

Morning
A bit of slow start today, done some stretching. Now waiting for removal company person to come and give an estimate for removal costs. Later will be either rehab weights or a bike ride.

Menaggio? Can't see the difference between that and Wolverhampton.
Early viewing of house for sale. Here's hoping.
Eat more, do stuff, sort.

Had to untangle Shorty's planets as the solar system came crashing down. God knows how. I don't think it was the big contraction nor was it a disintegration (contrary to the popular birth, life and death theory not too dissimilar to Christianity - in it's odd, more than coincidental: creator to creation...Really?! Is that all they could come up with?) Just as well the super string holding it together wasn't longer. After all, Neptune's distance from the golden orb had to be out of scale as this would have required a hole in two walls and more 4lb fly filament to add the entanglement.
Beans had other ideas however and had to be excluded from playing god...

Fingers crossed you can sell it before 30th October.

Afternoon folks,
Last day in the orifice for this week. Busy as always but I did have a bit of a win. The company is now buying cakes on the last day of the month, I pointed out this was a bad idea if it fell on a Friday as so many people shirked from home. The MD agreed with me, so we have cakes.
That's about as exciting as it gets. Sunny out this morning, but feeling a little fresher.

Well, the increase in value is not a lot. I'm not expecting that I would pay much CGT but cheers anyway.
I wonder if I could offset the CGT with conveyancing costs 'cos they are really steep...

should be ok, also the original purchase costs and any improvement costs, you can estimate...

Yep - SG has already linked to the relevant gov.uk web page showing what you can deduct. (I managed to generate a capital loss on selling my folks old house which has subsequently come in quite handy...)
