shoot sleep as (obviously) wife isn’t sleeping well, along with the kids having a party (arranged before the MIL fun). In offices far away, hopefully the gym rather than the pub later

Good sleep after yesterday's bike communt plus apple based isotonic recovery drinks afterwards. Working from cave with thankfully few meetings, so may fit some weights in later on. Paralympics events kick off tomorrow so get another week and a half of sport coverage.

A dry day! Some sunshine! What?
First week of the new intake of trainee gardeners, there for a year learning, certifying and working, seem like a good bunch, 3 gals 2 guys. Today had all of us, perms trainees and volunteers, attacking the barsteward bamboo which some historical muppet thought would look good if he/she/it planted it in the woodlands edges... carrying some scars from the encounter. There will be more to follow. And we have no pandas.
So cold beer time beckons, and see how my pick for today's La Vuelta stage performed. Or not.

I know it always been shit but when you are there 5 days a week for work, you get immune. Anyhow 90 windy miles done, lunch stop was a bit of epic as they seemed to be having some sort of crisis in the cafes kitchen. Which resulted in a long wait for the food, however when it did arrive it was pretty reasonable.
I think it’s now nearly recovery drink time.
