no, i understand bias perfectly well, and take care to review different sources
if you think generative ai systems lack bias, that would prove that you do not

because there is no such thing as "ai journalism", only probabilistic production of output tokens based upon input tokens, which is not journalism

This is what AI still comes up with - learning from what nonsense is out there on the internet, it is free of the need to actually be accurate

I doubt you do though. You choose the online media which reflects your stance.

All the razzmataz in US politics is a bit naff. It would be great to just see someone state their policies, give a bit of backup evidence of previous success and crack on with something useful.

Ed Milliband or this?

By the way, jeez.

It's awful and so fake - the politicians are all so bad at that coming on stage and trying to act like rock stars too. I'm always amazed how bad 'the World's biggest democracy' is at doing politics. It's even worse when UK politicians try to emulate it and it looks like Spinal Tap recreating Stonehenge.

nonsense,
as you have no direct knowledge upon which to make such a claim, you are simply showing yourself to be a liar and/or delusional

it's the convention culture, corporate events are even worse
trotting put the celebs does them no favours with the sector of the electorate that see them as in the hands of elitist, self-righteous, hollywood liberals
still, it's better than...
...though putin is managing to make this look like the good old days

Yep, I'd be embarrassed as a citizen.

I suppose we should be grateful that the UK hasn't followed suit to any degree. The showbiz razzmatazz is bonkers, and extremely expensive/pointless. But I can't see the US ever backtracking from this, as it's just an accepted part of the process. I'm not sure if the Democrats' States' roll call thingy was making fun of it or not.

Look, are you a God? are you a God of a Sun?

I read some amusing scripts with chat GPT trying to answer the question about the number of Rs in the word strawberry. It's very insistent that there are two.

AI doesn't seem to ask itself "Am I being an idiot?" Mind you, not all humans do, and the ones that don't ask that question tend to be the idiots.

What passes as news these days is basically, for many younger people particularly, just cherry picked nonsense to match their existing world view. I don't see any reason why AI won't or can't already summarise this sort of content to a distilled form of nonsense.
It is no more or less "journalism" than the existing nonsense.

Given the average age of your GBnews viewer, I don't think age has anything to do with it.

It's just how you make a none bias system to interrupt the days shenanigans. Just pure vetted facts which can be updated on the fly. It's too much information for any group of Humans to get close. Then it's the next day.

So a technology that can't count the number of Rs in a word is going to be the arbiter of truth.
Hilarious.

Yes, that's ight.

Fact checking the news, days events is probably the most important thing. Then it's just a case of packaging that information, cut all the waffle out, just the facts. In todays/future society that's what most people can handle/want.
Where has the information come from? Are they credible. Do multiple source agree? Packaged - internet.

All reporting involves an editing of the available information. No editing process can be free from bias by definition. It's already been explained repeatedly that LLMs inherit the same biases that exist in their source material. This is already recognised and their developers have attempted to add modifications to counteract these biases. All that does is create a different set of biases.

You want AI to do the fact checking? Fair stand point, except AI can't fact check the number of "R"s in a word.
AI is not fit for purpose.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
Quite aside from the AI idiocy. That's not what people want at all. The most popular TV news in the US is Fox, because people want to have their prejudices confirmed, and to be entertained.

That's a fair point. It will be great when a source of the news evolves to this point though as a resource if you want that.
To the second update information, fact checked and concise. Only an AI scraping the net/social media could do that.

Did an AI write this?
