Windy out, bit of work and then see the MIL who after 7 weeks at another hospital has been put into a respite bed in the local hospital and immediately they have done test and told us we have weeks with her 🤬😢 current wife is in bits as she is away and wouldn’t have gone if she had known.

WFH for my Friday today. Dull and grey out - handyman is here doing some outside painting of the window frames and hoping that it doesn't rain. Need to clear the decks before the long weekend and plan what to do tomorrow/ avoid Mrs. 666 dishing out random jobs.

No bloody internet so I am sat in the café that's not in the sticks enjoying coffee, apple pie & ice cream + internet connection. No 'engineer' till tomorrow afternoon.

Might have another slice of pie - need it after a very windy wobble. Cream crackered though happy the sun came out for all of 3 hours. Gave Beans his spot on wormer. I left with him giving me screwy looks.

Afternoon.

Early start today as I took Mrs W to work so I could have the car. Went to Kev’s bike and ordered a new bike and bought a new chain. As after looking on the tinterweb, it would seem that cheap ebay chain that I fitted yesterday was a fake. So it’s now in the recycling and new one fitted. Currently watching the cycling before heading out to pick Mrs W from work.

A day of bracken-bashing, there's a first for me. Down on the lovely stretch of coast between Rockcliffe and Kippford, there had been a v high tide last night assisted by onshore galeforce winds, seaweed et al everywhere down on shore. Sunny and warm though, for a change.
