No such thing as a lie in now.

Probably pack for Italian trip, maybe dip in the hot tub. Who knows?

    Did something happen SG?

Breezy and bright. Will go pedal.

Slow start, tip trip then a ride this afternoon. Weather looking good...

First run back was done with the aid of blister plasters on my toes - legs felt better than expected.

sone time with the kids and now a gentle bike ride before going to a friends for a bbq - it will be messy

referring to last sunday's rd hanger

no such failure today, did 123km from pb over all the high bits to haria, back the same way, about 1600m climbing, mostly into a brutal headwind as it turned out

instead, triumph over the howling gale that developed, barely a breeze when i went out, awful by the top of timanfaya, got worse from there up to haria, never been shoved around on the road like it before, wouldn't have gone out if i'd know how bad it would get, currently blowing 40-50kph at low level, must be 60+ on the high/exposed bits

moral fibre and fortitude preserved me, also the huge amount i ate and drank

Perhaps the amount you ate weighed you down. Call it ballast.

Bet sg had sunshine (Liam G pronunciation stylee) though.

Today's good: Bit of bike fettling done, graveller tidied up prepped and test rided ahead of the Raiders Gravel events weekend after next. As if I'm going to compete against the likes of Alison Jackson 😳

Today's not so: when one gets a load of laundry washing done early doors and hung out, lot of rain forecast for tomorrow and need my knicks, drying nicely, oh shower incoming, bring the washing in then discover that the detergent container is still sitting there, unused... FFS, rerun, and oh look more showers appearing.

Think I'll go watch some proper cyclists do there thing.

    Afternoon

Helped Mrs W trim the 2 Bay trees in the garden, then did rehab weights. Still quite painful but I guess that’s the deal. Now watching the Womens tour quite impressive.

Nice ride, feel fine but legs are complaining a bit for some reason... having spot of apple based refreshment before crashing out.
