Morning all. So much for the promised golden orb, just been soaked. Usual stuff with some ducking and diving. Wonder if Mr T has been rescued and is recovering in a local institution.

Too many bikes according to Mrs O.

Thunderstorms here too last night. Bit dull and wet in patches so far.

Current leader of the race is through Checkpoint 12 at 54hrs in with only the finish to go. That's some going.

🤔 the race tracker is showing odd / wrong elapsed times. Race started at 0600 on Saturday, so doing the sums the race leader is 51 hours 40 mins in, at time of tapping. Unless there is some glitch in the space time continuum matrix.

Anyways, waiting for the wind and the grey to do one, sun forecast in a few hours, so will get on with Stuff.

Yep, it's out. Current leader shows he is at 213 miles and the finish is 8 miles away when the race is only 215.

Nice ride in this morning, but lots happened since I was in the office last so been busy. Currently making up the calories and caffeine deficit. Ride back this evening might be a bit sweaty.

Yep out 😢 paramedic wouldn’t let me continue, Scottish bogs really mucked up my feet. Bright side Scotland did give me my most vivid hallucinations ever at about 5am for an hour (favourite being an earthquake).

re mileage and the leader - Sanquhar aid station was at mile 94 and I finished the race there on 98 miles - doesn’t sound a lot but can knock your timings and plans out.

stayed in Sanquhar last night with the current wife and enjoyed ale, today we are going to a spa hotel to relax and then over to her mothers at hospital and home tomorrow

thanks v68 for the donation really undeserved, so can I send you a foot pic as a thank you?

    Afternoon.

Grandson was picked up by his mum this morning, he seemed very pleased to see her. I got a nice goodbye hug from him which was nice. Chores and rehab weights done, caught up a few bike races, tour de fem seems to be currently on club run pace at the moment.

I paid for the suffering, not distance or pictures of stinky feet 😬

Busy day in the orifice as usual, pleasant wobble in the sunshine to get here. Already warm at 8am. Apparently scorchio outside, but I've been in the airconditioned office other than the odd foray into the whorehouse to check something. I predict a gentle pedal home.

Had a fun morning of lifting weights and building an Ikea cabinet.

Possibly short run later and some internet shopping.

Shame about the DNF @tlw1 but still a supreme effort!
