I’d have been working for a Brit organisation and I’d have had the same holidays I had in the UK.
Workers rights - tbh in my industry if you flex them without extremely good reason you’re blackballed anyway and in the meantime the long notices make our job much less efficient.
The healthcare was excellent, the money was amazing, my bowels were an absolute state (something in that food is just not agreeable).
I couldn’t picture my (theoretical) children doing school shooting drills and buying bullet proof rucksacks, or having an American accent. That did it for me.

Wouldn’t you have been in New York? They don’t seem to have so many issues with mass shootings and have some of the strictest gun laws.

True, they just loudly insult each other on the street in New York. It's a bit like Glasgow (it actually is).

I thought I’d hate New York the first time I went as I don’t like cities generally but found I really liked the place (couldn’t live there though).

Sure but the NY state and NJ are pretty good aren’t they? Connecticut had a bad school shooting about 10 years ago though.

Honestly I was 26, I didn’t give it that much thought. I saw enough jumpy police with guns to feel it wasn’t all that safe

This really is going to drive Trump big big mad. It's going to be hard for him to spin his crowd sizes to match this, so the suggestion that he will stop doing rallies isn't ridiculous. The challenge for him, even if he doesn't completely lose the plot, is that given how hyperbolic his claims already are, it'll be hard for him to ramp it up any more. And if he does ramp up it up, he risks seeming even more insane.

At the moment, there seem to be solid comebacks the talking points that the Republicans are trying to undermine him with - they'd try to say he was anti-semitic, dodged serving in Iraq etc.... Vance's criticism of the latter is undermined that he was in an air-conditioned office as part of the press corps.
It seems (at the moment) that he's been fairly well chosen: with his sharp wit and service both in the military and public schools, he can appeal to both to folksy small-town America and to the more progressive part of the Democratic Party. Add in Harris's appeal to non-whites and women, they tick a lot of boxes, as well as being decent performers

Why? It's essentially Arbitrage pricing theory. I don't have the time or energy to arb it, but someone will. Betfair has an API and positively encourages it. Successful bots are invited to pay 60% of their profits to Betfair.

Same reason uk bookies always put England as heavy favourites for football tournaments - way too many people irrationally putting money on England.
The UK betting market on US politics is very thin and a handful of not-that-big-bets can move the market.
You’d be better off paying attention to Nate silver polling models or deeply liquid proxy indicators
