More dullio than scorchio this morning but a nice warm pedal into town anyway. Will pay Russian Roulette with the thunder storms forecast for later. Powering through with coffee and scotch eggs for now, not long till the hols.

Me too, one week to go before compulsory trip to in-laws, although it is a rather beautiful place to stay and jolly relaxing, so I’m not complaining. Bikini body back on track.

Another day in the orifice, last one for this week at least. Had to drive the EPO in so no wobbling, very quiet on the roads now that holiday season has properly kicked in. Can't believe we're already in August.

I have a wifeout situation tonight so was wandering what to do with myself, but the lad has said he's coming over so that's sorted for me. I suspect we'll have a drink or two at some point.

Aye, the temps ramped up and the sun came out. A day working on the Nature Reserve. Hardly anyone around morning, grey, loadsafolk in the pm. And got a good look at, and stare back from, via the big scope the juvenile osprey, fledged but not flying and fishing yet. Dad's feeding him, mum looks to have started the go dahn saff trek no flight. Lad needs to get his learning head on pronto.

A divert back home this morning for an hour. Got a phone call from neighbour, someone had smashed their car into my wall while (not) turning in the (not a) turning area. Uh oh, best go home to check it out. Arrive, police there, seems the car had called them, tech innit, due to high side impact and airbags deployed. Old boy seemed ok, his wife also. Chatted with them and neighbours all attending them. I reckon the old boy had hard pressed the accelerator when reversing not the brake so side smashed his motor into my 2m high wall. Prob a write off given the way the front wheels all askew and body damage, even if a 22 plate. Only surface scuffs on the wall

And turns out the missus had been a teacher in the secondary school I attended, though not in my years. Did have a 'hello Miss?'' moment 😊

One of the feral cats had kittens so they’re multiplying.
