Wednesday contemplating the insidious Pineapple loop

Morning

Weather looks fine except I will be stuck at the pleasure of his majesty's constabulary being educated about going quicker than I should have and seen as time is relative, signage was poor, I feel a bit miffed.

First coffee.

Maybe SG came a cropper and fell into the volcano. Who knows. Perhaps he's properly done, and not medium rare.

In the playground suite at a hotel near the hospital, bit disappointing - not a slide anywhere.

work from here, then the hospital then homeward bound

Back in work to bake in the heat after a sweaty gym sesh this morning.

Possible short run on the way home from work but we shall see.

Hard work pays off in the long term but laziness pays off now...

In my defence I went for a bike ride last night.

  • Sunny , dropped one of the cars off for a service, coffee then a ride with OH with a cafe stop.

    Morning Shirkers,

Another WFC (Work From Cave) day. Door open, shorts and t-shirt on (got something with a collar at the ready in case somebody invites me to one of those pesky Teams meetings). The coffee is flowing and there's half a pork pie in the fridge so all is well. More pedalling tomorrow.

my lifelong strategy has been to do as little as possible for as much as possible, it's worked out well 😀

    Afternoon folks,

Another day of orifice based fun and games after a pleasant wobble in. Another warm one, maybe SG should stay away if he keeps sending this weather over. Hasn't worked before mind, surely it's not coincidence though.

Out for a ride followed by beer with the old bike crowd later. I'll need to replace lost fluids and minerals I'm sure.

Saw TLW's sponsorship link for doing something incredibly stupid on FB last night. I thought I'd wait and see how much he suffered before coughing up, but is rewarding someone for gross stupidity just encouraging them?

    Afternoon.

Currently banging, crashing, flashing and coming down like stair rods. Early it was 37 degrees which made cycling a bit fraught, managed 55 miles and few small cols before turning in a sweaty blob. Later is supposed to be going for tea, might need some serious wet weather to get the 100 metres to the restaurant.

  • Excellent cafe ride up the Ettrick Valley, ideal cycling conditions at 21c and little wind - if only every ride was like that!

I don't do farkbook, so is this by any chance something that involves running the sort of distances you'd normally use a car for?
