Every one looks very tired and resigned

Yep. Was hoping for one last roll of the dice but as soon as his team evaporated on the Cime it looked really tough.

Will Rem try and drop Vin, to make 2nd on GC a possibility after Sunday's TT?

Looked that way from this morning when they sent Jorgenson out to try and get the stage.

The riders from the break must look behind and think 'FFS why do you need to do this?'

Yates latching onto the wheel but not for long.

Taken 1 minute out in 1km. Incredible!

Didn't even bother to grab a quick rest behind Jorgensen.

Not giving Jorgenson a chance to take the wheel. Some ride this, the two behind have taken back 2 minutes on the break so haven't exactly blown up.

1' 42"gained. It felt like he could have taken more but once the stage was in the bag sensibly didn't push it.

Poor Jonas is in pieces. No doubt in my mind he wanted to do something today, just didn't have the legs in the end. Jorgenson - who by rights can be absolutely gutted for his own reasons - comforts him

Jonas looks completely devastated but considering where he was just 3-4 months ago his own performance has been incredible. Needs consoling by Jorgenson who was probably the one who should have been more upset.

    More images for the ages.

I found that all to be rather anti climatic.

Vingegaard broken emotionally, if not physically as well.

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Meh, I thought it was going to be an anti-climax but that was a special final 8km.

That’s exactly what I was thinking.

It’s actually a big positive for him.
