Is it as slow as PCS seems to be indicating? There's mention of them dong a whole 20km/hr...

It’ll have to go some to beat stage 10 to that title.

They were doing 20kmh when trying to persuade the one rider from TE to stay out on his own. He wasn't having it.

Blythe talking about how hot it is but the weather data is showing it around 30 degrees, whilst that's warm it really doesn't feel much higher than you would expect in the South of France in mif July. Mind you, he also claimed it was blowing a gale before the start.

Yeah, looking more breezy now but the direction doesn't appear suitable

Could easily stop riders hiding it by making TDF organisers sorting out the daily swabs, along the lines of the PCR centres the UK had.

I'll never know if me continuing to do VO2 efforts up the lovely rolling hills near Longleat, when I thought I simply had developed a sore throat over first holiday night and dead legs from some intense sessions just before the hol in late Septemeber '22, was how I ended up with long covid. I took ill health retirement from being a postie ten months ago and I'm still in no state to try and find a new job... It was only once we got home I thought of doing a covid test.

Wind speeds are picking up and we've just had the bonus sprint (Girmay just marked Philipsen) so now may be the time for anyone with ambition to try something although I don't know what the wind direction is. Total Energies haven't learned from their rider previously getting left solo off the front and send another lamb to the slaughter.

Claiming Gachignard has "animated the race" seems slightly hyperbolic, to judge by the complete disinterest behind.

I'm not saying it's slow, but for a second I thought this graphic meant they'd been overtaken by the broom wagon.

Looks like a finish around 1700 BST, one of the later ones this year so far.

The team cars crashing into each other would’ve been the cherry on the cake.

Has there ever been any analysis of who wins sprint stages on boring slow days vs who wins them on days where there's been chaos along the way?

Be interesting to see if Philipsen gets penalised for that sprint, they clamped down on less obvious changes in direction than that in the race already. Cav unable to hold his leadout again.

Philipsen wins. Cav didn't contest again. Think he is definitely much worse at that bit of sprinting.

    Girmay may be injured
