Morning. Yep definitely July and nippy, summers over. Parkrun in a bit then visiting some country pile. Got given NT membership so better use it I suppose. Family meal later and catch up properly with eldest and his GF.

Junior lands back from uni this afternoon so Mrs. 666 is in traditional stressbag mode. Better get on with some jobs this morning and stay at minimum safe distance. Hounds will have to fend for themselves.

Beans spent the night out after Hotel Lime Kiln. The owners wife and daughter loved him. He came back portly but clean.

Woke up in a Manor House with no idea where I am, where the kettle is, my car or the wife’s phone. Found my car a few miles away at the wedding venue. Now breakfast and then up to Stockport to see the MIL and another hotel for the night

Rubbish sleep so dropped half a sleeping tab at 3am. Felt rubbish after getting up at 7.
Prepping for holiday of walking in the Highlands from next weekend. Realised my 1st aid kit is completely out of date and tatty so ordering new stuff. Some of it looks old enough to be army surplus from WW2!

Traditional slow start was enjoyed, been pottering about since trying to get the house sorted with the return of all the shit from daughter's uni house before our holiday. Need to have quite a clear out I suspect, fighting my inherited hoarding tendencies. Might need a drink soon.

We were cycling the ridgeway whilst the Ride to the Stones was on, loads of runners doing 50k or 100k. Apparantly the winner did the 100k in under 8 hours 😳
